The Problem with Really Good Ideas
A good idea? That's fine — you etch it once and move on. A really good idea? That's when the trouble starts.
The brilliant idea problem
You have a really good idea. You etch it, everyone loves it. Then comes the question: "Can I have one?" Suddenly one becomes ten. Ten becomes fifty. And you're the bottleneck.
You're slowing the laser down
Your xTool F2 is blazing fast and super accurate — but it can only be as fast as the person loading items onto the bed. Lining things up once is fine. Doing it fifty times? That's where errors creep in.
DIY jigs don't cut it
Tape, blu-tack, bits of wood — they work once but aren't repeatable. Commercial jigs are expensive, often just 3D-printed files sold at a premium, and rarely fit your exact items.
The Solution: Jigware
Totally modular & reusable
Jigware uses Gridfinity — the most popular open-source modular grid system on the planet — as its foundation. The Jigware Plate screws into your xTool's stock M4 threaded holes, turning your laser bed into a Gridfinity baseplate. Any Gridfinity-compatible bin becomes a laser jig.
Completely open source
Every single file is free to download, modify and redistribute. Business cards aren't standard? Change the dimensions. Got a weird item? Make your own bin. The entire system is designed to be infinitely adaptable because your needs are unique.
The cost is... nothing
Commercial jigs are expensive and often just 3D-printed files sold at a premium. Jigware is completely free. All you need is a 3D printer and some PLA filament. That's it. No subscriptions, no paywalls, no catches.
